You can also try to connect the camera cable to a USB port on your computer.

If the device in conjunction with a USB cable or by inserting the SD card into the card reader slot of the computer, the result should be the same. You should be able to import an additional hard drive in Windows Explorer (My Computer), see the designation as a removable disk or something to that effect. In general, a higher drive letter of your CD / DVD.

If your camera or the card can not be recognized in Windows to be the cause. This is the long and the results are not guaranteed. Unplug all USB devices and go to the Control Panel System Hardware Device Manager and remove all from Device Manager, USB devices. Restart Windows, and all USB devices have been rediscovered and re-install. Try the camera or SD card off and see if it is detected. Usually there is a new icon in the System Tray in the lower right corner of the screen to enter a new device.

If this does not work, then you may have one of theseSiS, the difficulties in detecting USB devices have. You can find your site and see if an updated firmware for your specific model of motherboard.

To achieve this and maintain records and equipment safety, consult transfer a computer technician or your camera or SD card to a digital photography workshop and your files on CD.

You should try to organize your images, by transferring the camera to the computer via USB cable.

Or ... When reading the memory card is an SD High Capacity (SDHC) card in your computer plugged into a card reader can not (can), especially when an older computer. When this happens, you must have a card reader SDHC compatible for use with your card and then connect your computer once the USB port. It appears as a removable disk and you can easily transfer your images to the computer in this manner.
